Zella Larison

Zella Larison 89, of Des Moines, passed away on Monday December 14, 2020 at University Health Care in Des Moines, Iowa.

Zella Faye Miller was born on October 6, 1931 in Cherokee, Oklahoma she was the daughter of Willie and Margie Miller. The family lived in Kansas for a while, but she lived most of her life in Iowa. After Zella was married, she was blessed with 9 children. After the children were grown, she worked as a home health aide taking care of the elderly as she was a loving caring person who loved to help others. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She loved to cook and bake, and she was the best of the best with her cooking and she had a great love for her family and always caring for others. She often said that she may not be rich with possessions, but she was rich with love for her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steven Larison of Newton, Margie Adam of Grinnell, Patty (Clark) Oldham of New Sharon, Debbie Keeley of Oskaloosa, Mary Clendenen of Johnston, William Larison of Des Moines, Carla Koons of Pella and Andrew Utterback of Oskaloosa, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In death she rejoins her parents, Willie and Margie Miller, son Glen Larison and siblings, Ruth, Ralph, Marion, Willa, Theda and William.
