Yeser Talo Sleh

Mrs. Yeser Talo Sleh, a beloved wife, loving mother, sister, aunt, entrepreneur, and tireless community servant, peacefully passed away on April 9, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Yeser Sleh, a caring, loving, dedicated, and a hardworking mother of four handsome boys was borne on August 16, 1979, in Monrovia, Liberia. Mrs. Sleh was a loving, dedicated and family-oriented wife to Nathaniel Sleh. This visionary and self-employed entrepreneur, was happily married, sharing a lifelong journey with her husband and kids for twenty-one years.

Yeser Talo Sleh whose warmth and determination touched every life she encountered began her primary education in Buchanan, Grand Bassa county, Liberia; and subsequently completed her high school studies at the Awutu secondary school in Gomoa District, Accra, Ghana.

In the early 2000, she moved to the United States and enrolled at the Minneapolis community and technical college where she studied nursing and interior design

Yeser had a passion for creative thinking and elegance… This passion was turned into a career and thriving business that includes the decoration of wedding, baby‑showers, and special‑event décor. She took pleasure in spreading her knowledge and gift, as she mentored countless young professionals—especially working mothers—showing them how to balance ambition with grace.

Deeply rooted in her faith, Yeser Sleh, was a member of Mount Zion Prayer Ministry. She understood the influence and impact of her actions, so she always led by example therefore proving that true success is measured by the lives we uplift.

As a devoted wife and mother of four sons, her home was infused with joy and purpose—cooking healthy meals that nourished both body and mind.

Beyond her immediate family, Yeser was an active pillar of her community: from serving of nonprofit to organizing food drives and quietly ensuring that seniors and at‑risk youth never felt forgotten. Her generosity knew no bounds, she opens her home to those in need, offers counsel to friends and family in crisis, and volunteering countless hours to local causes without seeking recognition.

In all challenges, she held fast to the belief that love in action can transform lives—leaving behind a community forever brighter for having known her.

A MOTHER’S UNWAVERING SUPPORT:

To her best friend/ husband-Nathaniel Sleh along with her four handsome boys, “Nannie” (as she was affectionately call by her husband) was more than a mom—She was their steadfast supporter. Whether cheering from the sidelines at football games, helping with late‑night school projects, or being a sounding board after a tough day, she was always there. She believed in their dreams before they did, celebrating every victory, big or small. She taught them that failure was only a steppingstone to growth.

Those long busy hours of multi-tasking as an entrepreneur/businesswoman were never an excuse in performing her duties as a loving and caring children mother. She was always available to provide a home cooked meal for her family, as she believes the dinner table was the space for connection after a long day. She made every holiday and special occasion a celebration. From matching outfits to organizing family portraits that now fill albums and walls.

Those priceless memories are ink in our mind for eternity. Her hands, presence, and touch provided comfort and conviction. The family knows that no matter what challenges they came across, Mommy was there as a safety net that could provide solutions and comfort…

Yesser Sleh is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Mr. Nathaniel Doebah Sleh; her cherished children, Jeroy Sleh, Javanni Sleh, Jeromy Sleh, and Jamel Sleh; her beloved parents, Mrs. Ethel Reeves and Mr. Flomo Suah Kollie; and her dear sisters, Mrs. Jacqueline Steward and Nee-jay Genevieve Reeves. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In honor of her generous spirit and lifelong commitment to business and helping the most needed in society, it’s our prayers that her beloved husband and her four sons will continue such a remarkable and memorable legacy.

“Lord, grant her eternal rest, O God, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”

Her life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and service—and in her memory, we carry forward her light.

“Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”

Matthew 25:21 (NKJV)

May her legacy continue to shine through the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
