Tracy Lynn Hendricks, age 53, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022.
Tracy was born May 11, 1968, in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1986, where she excelled in academics and many clubs including show choir and cheerleading. Following high school, Tracy attended Culver Stockton University in Missouri and obtained her bachelor's degree from Upper Iowa University. She was a proud member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
Tracy was a member and later an instructor with Isiserettes Drill and Drum Corp for over 25 years and enjoyed mentoring youth which led her to work at the Polk County Juvenile Center. Tracy also worked for Yellow Freight for 20 years and afterwards enjoyed a career in social work at the Central Iowa Shelter & Services.
She is survived by her sister, Nicole Allen; sister, Dana Allen; nephew, Kyree Greene; and niece, Mykea Greene.
Tracy was preceded in death by her parents.
Public Visitation is scheduled on Thursday, May 19, 2022, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines, IA.
