Shirley Jean (Jones) Riche passed away peacefully September 19, 2022, at Granger Nursing Home. She was born December 23, 1936, in Nevada, Iowa to Clarence Jones and Merle Jones-Christy. Shirley married her longtime friend and love, Dickie Riche on December 5, 1953. She lived in Des Moines and Menlo Iowa and worked for GU/LL for 15 years before moving to Trenton MO. where she loved to entertain and be with people.
Shirley was an active and caring woman who spent most of her life thinking about others.
She always surrounded herself with her friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved. Her love for wearing hats made it possible for her to be Queen of her Red Hatters group for several years.
Shirley is survived by her 2 sons, Kenny Riche (Becky) of Van Meter, Iowa and Roger Riche (Jodie) of Junction City, Kansas. Shirley has 6 grandchildren Angie, Melissa, Monica, Michael, Eric, and Kristina, along with 14 great grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Merle Jones, husband Dickie Riche, brother James Leo, daughter Dianna Bowers, and grandchild Craig Riche. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
