Updated: Dec 8, 2021

Patricia Sue (Anthony) Friesen was born in Wichita, KS on March 12, 1935 and went to her heavenly home on December 4, 2021. June 6, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Friesen in Enid, Oklahoma. They enjoyed 67 years together.

In her early years her parents moved to Enid, Oklahoma where she attended school and graduated in 1953 from Enid High School. She enjoyed going to her class reunions and visiting with her classmates. Over the years many family camping trips were made and Patty always made sure that they were fun and educational.

She enjoyed serving her Savior and in turn serving others. No matter the time of day, if she saw a need within her ability to meet, she would. She enjoyed teaching the 2 and 3 year old Sunday School class as well as team teaching, with her husband Bob, the 4 and 5 year old Children’s Church for over 35 years.

Patty worked for Pioneer Cattle, Bob Erickson Real Estate, at the Children’s Home in Johnston and at the Johnston Middle Schools. Bob and Patty also had a craft business that gave them another family that they enjoyed being with.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evelyn Anthony and her brother Ron as well as John and Mary Friesen. She was survived by her husband Robert, 4 children, Gala (Boyd) DeJong with 2 children and 4 grandchildren, Anne (Joe) Cherry with 2 children and 2 grandchildren, Jerry Friesen, Mike (Stephanie Dohlman) Friesen with 1 child and 5 grandchildren as well as many other family members.

In lieu of flowers a memorial sent to Edgewater Good Samaritan Fund or the Alzheimer’s foundation would be appreciated by the family.
