Mary Rozenboom

Mary Louise Rozenboom, 90, of Des Moines, IA passed away May 21, 2025, at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, IA.

Mary Was born August 18, 1934, in Pella IA, the daughter of Henry and Jennie Hoekstra. Mary attended school in Marion County.

She married Henry Rozenboom on November 5, 1953, in Pella, IA. They moved to Des Moines after their wedding and to this union three children were born, Lila Joy, Judy Lynn and Mark Henry.

Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, traveling, church activities and spending time with family and friends.

Mary and Henry spent 23 years wintering in Arizona and made wonderful memories and made many new friends.

Mary is survived by her husband Henry; daughter Judy Lange (John), son Mark Rozenboom (Lynne) grandchildren Greg Dorrell (Heidi), Doug Dorrell (Holli), Scott Lange (Abby), Brett Lange (Hannah), Tyler Rozenboom (Audra), Jordan Rozenboom (Christine). Great Grandchildren; Devin Dorrell, Emma Dorrell, Cohwen Dorrell, Noah Rozenboom, Averi Rozenboom, Harlee Rozenboom, Kora Rozenboom, James Lange and Iris Lange.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Jennie Hoekstra, siblings Alama Dykstra, Gerturde Vanzee, Gerald Hoekstra, and her Daughter Lila Dorrell.

Visitation will be held at 9 am prior to services at 11 am on May 29, 2025, at Merle Hall Funeral Chapel 4400 Merle Hay Road Des Moines, IA.
