Mary Angela Fulton, 98, of Pleasant Hill, Iowa passed on to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Merle Hay Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens- Mausoleum.
She was born on June 27, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa to William and Hazel (Stanbery) Wagner. She spent her early years in east Des Moines and graduated from East High School. She married the love of her life, Robert Ray Fulton Sr., on February 24, 1946, after his return from serving in the United States Navy during World War II. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1994. They resided in Johnston, Iowa and she worked as a claims processor for Travelers Insurance Company from 1951-1984. She volunteered frequently at the library in Johnston and Pleasant Hill. She loved quilting and going on Quilt Shop Hops.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, Robert Jr. (Emily) Fulton of Nevada, Iowa, Jeanne (Cyrus) Samimy of Tucson, Arizona, William Fulton of Carlisle, Iowa; grandchildren, Sanaz (Stefan) Samimy Kiesbye, Sawson (Laura) Samimy, Eric Fulton, Alex Fulton; great-grandchildren, Rainey Samimy, Arwyn Samimy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Robert Ray Fulton Sr., brother Bill Wagner, sister Phyllis Hudson, and daughter-in-law Diane Fulton.
