Maria Delfina Yanqui

Maria Delfina Yanqui was born on July 15, 1944, in Ecuador, and passed away on September 3, 2025.

Delfina’s life was marked by love, family, and dedication. At a young age, she married her husband, Luis Arturo Yanqui, and together they shared a lifelong journey of companionship and partnership. Delfina was a devoted mother and grandmother who always placed the needs of her family first, giving her love, guidance, and understanding to all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her children: Maria, Manuel, Rosa, Abraham, Virginia, and Hernan. She leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Delfina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luis Arturo Yanqui, and her sons Miguel Angel, Luis Alejandro, and Daniel Salvador.

A public visitation will be held at Jesus Tabernacle Church (4520 Madison Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50310) Monday, September 8, 2025, from 4PM until 10PM, all are welcome to attend.  A funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 11AM to 12:30PM.  Immediately after the service, there will be a cemetery committal service at Chapel Hill Gardens (4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, IA 50310).

Delfina’s legacy of love and devotion will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.
