Lydia Louise Wolf

Lydia Louise Wolf passed away peacefully in Des Moines, Iowa on March 8, 2024, just a few months shy of her 100th birthday. Her parents, Walter B. and Jesse Strayhorn Wolf, along with her 11 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Louise is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews.

Louise was a proud member of the United States Foreign Service for over 30 years, serving  all around the world including London, Paris, Hong Kong, South America, and Madagascar. She was an active member of the Methodist Church in every community in which she lived. Louise was a woman of intelligence, loyalty, integrity, and service. She lived a life rooted in faith, dedicating herself to serving others with unwavering commitment and grace.

Louise will be interred alongside her parents and several sisters at Olympus Cemetery in northeastern Oklahoma where she grew up.
