Lady Khamboua Sayasane was born on October 26, 1943, in Luang Prabang, Laos to her father Earl Khamtanh and Countess Khamphieu Virachith. Lady Khamboua passed away peacefully at home in Des Moines, Iowa with friends and family on July 3, 2022, at 11:15 AM.
Lady Khamboua was one of the most kind, generous, gentle, caring, loving, giving person, and had the heart of gold. She lived a very interesting life, was a Director of managing the waterworks department in Laos, a Royal Dance Teacher in Laos, and worked as a Nurse in the Skilled Nursing department at Des Moines General Hospital for almost 20 years, she was a mentor, leader, and always taught life lessons along with bestowing wisdom, knowledge, insight, and words of advice and encouragements.
Lady Khamboua was preceded in death by her loving husband Prince Tiao Vanngeun Sayasane, older brother Khampeng Sengpraseuth in Texas, Khamhoung Sengpraseuth in Laos, and younger brother Khampane Sengpraseuth in Laos. Her surviving siblings are younger sisters Viengkham Vongchanthy in Laos, Yodkeo Hoang in France, younger brother Bounchanh Sengpraseuth in France, and younger sister Somchith Sayavongchanh in Iowa.
Lady Khamboua is survived by her seven children, Tiao Nguplavanh Ron, Tiao Nopphavanh Scott (wife Mom Duyen Angela), Tiao Nitniranh Nina (husband Tiao Sinesamouth Mouth Khounlavouth), Tiao Noudsaravanh Sara (husband Mr. Huynh “Winn” Nguyen), Tiao Natdavanh Melissa, Tiao Kanlagnany Olivia, Tiao Sihanou Steve (wife Mom Viengthai Vanessa); eight grandchildren Andrew Sayasane (wife Jayme), Tiao Alexander Souksavath Khounlavouth (wife Elizabeth), Arthur Sayasane (wife Megan), Arnold Sayasane (fiancee Lizz Olvera), Tiao Aryavong Aaron Khounlavouth, Tiao Amphaimany Abby Sayasane, Tiao Amphoneratsamy Ava Sayasane, Aiden Sayasane-Nguyen; and four great grandchildren Liam Sayasane, Gia Sayasane, Amianna Khounlavouth, and Ella Sayasane.
The memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 11, 2022, at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery 4400 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines, Iowa 50310.
