In Loving Memory of Kathy Ann Dice-Leto

January 19, 1952 – May 31, 2026

Kathy Ann Dice-Leto was born on January 19, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Lake Okoboji was a special part of Kathy’s childhood, and she carried that love of the lake into the early years of raising her own family. She loved being near the water, enjoyed water skiing, and anyone who truly knew Kathy knew how much she loved the lake and how at peace she felt there. She also enjoyed time spent boating with her brother, Bob, on Saylorville Lake in Des Moines.

Kathy remained proud of her connection to the Dowling/St. Joseph school community and loved reconnecting with old classmates throughout the years.

In her younger years, Kathy also lived in several places, including Arkansas and Idaho, where she began raising her family before eventually making her way back to Iowa.

Kathy will be remembered by many for her sweet nature, generous heart, kindness, and compassion. She had a strong personality, and her memory will live on with those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Holly, Paul (Leah), and Chris; her grandchildren, Terrance, Vincent, Isaiah, Roman, and Victoria; her brother, Bob Dice; her sister, Cheri (Rick) Ernzen of Texas; her aunt, Mary, of Arizona; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Dice and Leta Porter; her sister, Linda Dice-Henderson; her former husband, Paul Leto Sr., father of her children; and other loved ones.

In accordance with her wishes, Kathy will be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered at Lake Okoboji alongside her sister and mother.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Suncrest Hospice and Merle Hay Funeral Home for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during Kathy’s final days.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, free from pain, and reunited with those who passed before her. Her memory, her spirit, and the moments shared with her will live on in those who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.
