Judy Marie Banker

Judy Marie Banker was born on June 2, 1944, in Carlisle, Iowa to Howard and Fern Goode and passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, while in hospice care in Urbandale, Iowa.

Judy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was known for her legendary homemade noodles and her cherished Christmas Eve celebrations. She loved sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, gardening, reading, and spoiling her beloved dog, Jack.

She is survived by her children: Tony (Sherri) Banker, Kim (Gary) Finn, Terry (Charlene) Banker, and Dawn (Jeff) Cowie; along with 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; Howard and Fern Goode, brothers; Jerry and Joe Goode, sister; Jan Williams, sons; Mike and Mark Banker, and great-granddaughter; Tyra Cratty.

A graveside committal service will take place on Friday, September 5^th at 1PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery (4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, IA 50310). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wildwood Hills Ranch at wildwoodhillsranch.org.
