Jed Miller, 41 of Des Moines, Iowa passed away, Monday, September 7, 2020 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
A Celebration of Life was held October 3 at Saylorville Lake, a favorite getaway for Jed.
Jed Leslie Miller was born in Corvalis, Oregon on September 23, 1978; he was the son of Stanford and Kathi (Hewitt) Miller. Jed graduated from high school with the class of 1997 and attended the University of Iowa and graduated with his degree in Finance and Journalism. On March 13, 2016, Jed was united in marriage to Stacie Lopeman in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and they remained in Des Moines. Jed worked at Twin River Logistics, where he formed many relationships with the drivers on his fleet and others he worked with. He loved camping, boating and kayaking with his family. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and University of Iowa; he loved any sport, but especially football.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 4 ½ years, Stacie, daughter, Naomi Anderson of Boone, mother and stepfather, Kathi and Bruce Hewitt, siblings, Sarah (Aaron) Johnson, Addy (Ross) Melcher, step-sisters Anna (Nikolas) Lorensen and Leah (Mike) Stussy.
In death, Jed rejoins his father, Stanford Miller.
