Helen Elizabeth Jeffrey, 88, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines. A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 10:30 am at the Merle Hay Chapel in Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 9:30 am until service time. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.
Helen is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold, three daughters: Debbie Iiams, Patricia Herkelman, Brenda (Rodney) Iiams-Wilson, a son, Garry (Lisa) Jeffrey, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a brother, Harold (Pam) Watson.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Melody Jeffrey.
She will always be remembered for her kindness to others, and she was a voracious reader, always had a book in her hand.
