Hazel Irene Waters

January 6, 1926 – October 2, 2026

Hazel Irene Waters was born on January 6, 1926, in Seymour, Iowa, and passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at StoryPoint Johnston, at the remarkable age of 100.

Throughout her life, Hazel found her greatest joy in caring for her home and family. She had a loving and giving heart, always willing to share her time and kindness with others. During her 100 wonderful years, Hazel touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing her. Even in her final days, she continued to bring love and joy to those around her.

Hazel is survived by her loving daughter and granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, son, parents, and seven siblings.

Hazel's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and leadership at StoryPoint Johnston, as well as Hospice Care Initiatives, for the kindness, compassion, and loving care shown to Hazel.

A special thank-you goes to all the young caregivers who became such an important part of Hazel's life. Please know that Hazel loved each of you just as much as you loved her. Your kindness and devotion meant more than words can express. May God bless each and every one of you.

Hazel's long and beautiful life was a blessing, and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
