Floyd Robison

Floyd Eugene Robison passed away at Bishop Drumm Care Center on September 1, 2020. He was 89 years old.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Sears) Robison of Galva, IA, together for 52 years, married on 4th of July 1954.

Floyd has five children, Connie (Robison) Garcia and husband Bill Garcia, Janice (Robison) Carnes and husband Michael Carnes, Edward Robison, Judy Robison, Neal Robison and wife Kerrie Robison, three grandchildren, Jason Garcia and wife Sarah, Joshua Garcia and wife Elizabeth, and Kaden Robison, Floyd is also a Great Grandfather to Ruby Garcia, Oliver Garcia and Alice Garcia.

Floyd worked for 40 years with United Airlines. Growing up in Fairfield, IA, he was always a drummer in the school band. He entered many competitions and always won top honors. At 16 years old, he won the highest award of 1st place at the national level. He continued to play drums throughout his life in different bands, on record recordings as a sessions drummer, had a television show called The Starlight Jubilee and in a trio at the Southside Senior Center. He was an avid fisherman, and especially loved his yearly trips to Canada for fishing.

Due to the Covid-19 the family will be having a private service, just immediate family attending.
