Edward R. Anderson, 76, passed away at home on Saturday morning, March 27, 2021 with his wife and daughter by his side. Edward had a long and distinguished career as a police officer, retiring as Chief. He served in several towns in Iowa during his many years of service. He is survived by his wife, Marcia in Urbandale, daughter Kerry (Kevin) Connolly of Johnston, a son Ross (Kim) of Scottsdale, AZ, a granddaughter Candice Connolly and his twin Sister, Eleanor Franks of Council Bluffs. He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Bernice (Boucher) Anderson, a brother, Billy, who was KIA during WW II, and two sisters, Donnabelle & Deloris.
A graveside service will be held at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Council Bluffs on Saturday, April 10th at 11am. Memorials may be directed to your local police department or first responders of your choice.
