De Anne Mae Carter (Teno), 60, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at her home in Altoona, Iowa.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 2pm at St Paul Presbyterian Church, 6426 Merle Hay Rd Johnston, Iowa, 50310. The burial will be taken place on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines in the Mausoleum (Hope) with immediate family.
De Anne was born in Des Moines, Iowa to John J. & Carolyn Joyce (Palmer) Teno on April 7, 1963. She was raised in Polk County and graduated from Saydel High School. She was blessed with two sons by the names of Jason and Justin Carter. She was very outgoing, social, and cared a lot about family and friends. She had a passion for Mickey Mouse, watching the Green Bay Packers, and watching her sons raise their families.
De Anne was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father John Teno Jr., her oldest brother Jeff Teno.
She is survived by her mother Carolyn (Palmer) Teno, her brothers Patrick (wife Kelley) Teno and Michael Teno. Her two sons Jason (wife Ashley) Carter and Justin (fiancé Samantha) Carter. Her partner Rick Ross. She also had five grandchildren, Landon, Grayson, Hudson, Nathan, and Braydon.
