Connie Henry

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Connie Henry, 62, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on October 8, 2025, in Des Moines. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose loving heart and strong faith touched everyone she met.

Connie was born on March 15, 1963, in Des Moines. She moved with her family to Tennessee when she was young and spent much of her life in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A very religious person, Connie found great joy in her faith and in her family. On July 30, 1994, she was united in marriage to Jess Henry, and together they built a loving home. Connie lived in Tennessee until moving back to Des Moines in 2021.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Cash, Charles Henry, and Jessica Eckstein; six cherished grandchildren, her mother, Frances McCloud; and her sister, Carrie Shepherd.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Henry, who passed away on December 8, 2020, in Tennessee, her sons, Matthew and Jeremiah and father, Ron McClintick.

Connie will be remembered for her deep faith, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her warmth, generosity, and laughter will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
