Catherine Ann Coppes

Catherine Ann Coppes passed away peacefully at her home in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, at Merle Hay Funeral Chapel, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, IA 50310. A committal service will follow.

Catherine is survived by her loving daughter, Katie (Zach) Whitlow of West Des Moines; her siblings, David (Wanda) Coppes of Yarmouth, IA, and Marla (Rick) Seals of Lake Placid, FL; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; her parents, Leigh and Marjorie Coppes; her brother, Loren Coppes; and sister-in-law, Shirley Coppes.

Catherine will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her quiet strength. Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
