Caleb Dayan Kahn

With deep sadness I share the passing of our beloved Caleb Dayan Kahn.

Caleb was known for his kind, loving, caring and pleasant personality.  He left us on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, at age 20, at home in Waukee City, Iowa.  He slept on Friday, November 22, but never woke up in the morning.

Caleb was born on April 6, 2004, in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa, to Pastor Rufus B. Kahn and Elizabeth T Kahn and is survived by his parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, cousins, nieces and a host of other relatives.

In August 2020, Caleb gave his live to Christ, an act that was followed by water baptism and he became a devoted member of the Throne of Grace Free Methodist church in Liberia. He loved playing jazz drum for the church, a service which he also rendered at Central Community Church in Des Moines before his death.

In 2022, Caleb graduated from the PATMELIA High School in Paynesville, Montserrado County, Liberia and he relocated to the United States of America with his parents.  Earlier this year, 2024, Caleb got employment with Optimae Life Service and he also enrolled at DMACC to pursue his an Associate of Art degree in electricity, a field he was so much passionate about until he met his demise.

Rev. Barh R. Kahn, Mrs. Elizabeth Kahn and the Children use this opportunity to say thank you to all for your love and support. May the Almighty God richly bless you in the name of Christ Jesus.
