Bao Phetpriyavanh, a mother, grandmother, and a friend had a passion for fishing, gardening, and cooking. On January 20, 1951, she was born to Thu La and Tnu Noi in Banthung Saybonfie Quang Cammoun, Laos. All together, there are six siblings, Lung Deng, Thong Chan, Bao (herself), Sisouphanh, Sao, and Bounthone. All are deceased except for one younger brother in Laos. She got married August 13, 1967 to Bounhom Phetpriyavanh and together had seven children, Chansy Phetpriyavanh, Somchanh Malavong, Chasamone Lu, Chanthone Phetpriyavanh, Khonesavanh Phetpriyavanh, Sady Phetpriyavanh, and Vilayavanh Phetpriyavanh and have a total of 17 grandchildren. All reside here in Des Moines, Iowa. On April 1981, she and seven children flew to America to be with her husband, Bounhom. The year of 2005 she started her battle with diabetes. On July 28, 2020 at 6:20 PM she passed away at the age of 69 because she could no longer put up a fight.
