Catherine Mary Atzeni, 87, of Calabria, Italy died Thursday March 23rd 2023 at her home in Carlise, Iowa. She was born May 6th, 1935, in Italy, to Giulietta and Luigi Bisanti. Catherine is survived by her four sons, Tony Atzeni of Des Moines, Iowa; Steve Atzeni and wife Tracey of Gravois Mills, Missouri; Frank Atzeni and wife Mary of West Des Moines, Iowa; Robert Atzeni of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Tina McAninch and husband Brian of Des Moines, Iowa; nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Catherine is preceded in death by her parents Guila and Luigi; 2 brothers, Luigi and Frank Paul; a great granddaughter MacKenzy Renee Larson (#Kenzy rocks).
Mom's words:
"I want you to all know that even though I am gone, I'll always be with you.
I want to thank you, my children, for you have made me very happy. I know sometimes it was difficult, but I guess that's what life is all about - ups and downs.
I also thank God for giving me five healthy and beautiful children and I love you all the same.
Also, my grand-children and great-grand children....truly blessed and love them as well.
I am at rest now and I pray that you and your families love each other always.
Thank you so much for sharing your love and happiness with me.
