Virginia "Ginny" Harscher of Des Moines passed away on Oct. 28, 2020 in Johnston. She was 88. The family will hold a private service, with burial at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.
Ginny married Arthur C. Harscher in 1955. He preceded her in death. Ginny was a lifelong Des Moines resident and a longtime member of Hyperion Field Club, where she loved to play golf. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, bowling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Kitty Berger of West Des Moines; sons, Greg Harscher (Martha) of Parker, Colorado, and John Harscher (Susan Fritz) of Urbandale; and grandchildren, Desiree Berger Gould (Jason) of Des Moines, and Emily Harscher and Cole Harscher, both of Parker, Colorado.
Memorial contributions may be made to Furry Friends Refuge of West Des Moines.
